Description

The Lake Louise World Cup Men's Downhill run is world famous and rightly so.

The spectacular views provided coupled with black diamonds and high-speed make for a truly exhilarating run.

Described here, is the run in it's entirety.

Start by exiting the Top of the World Express and heading right towards Sunset Gully.

Take a scope of the entire Front side of the resort in front of you with Mountain Temple on the left Mount Victoria just behind with the hanging glacier and to the right Mount Fairview.

Drop into the precipitous gully and head slightly right where you will meet up with Tickety Chute.

The next phase of the run has some undulating hills that you can really carve on, proceed slightly to the left on the Wii waxy.

Be sure to check your speed here as there maybe kids and beginner riders.

To your right you will see a black diamond marking the entrance to the Men's Downhill.

The run starts with undulation and a big hill to launch off of.

You may not have the skill of a professional ski racer but you can certainly achieve high speeds and heavy GeForce on this steep section.

The run will continue down and you will find another steep pitch that is open.

Follow this track down straight to meet up with the Village. Typically, the men's downhill and super G are held at the end of November.

To prepare the track each of the pistes are water injected.

This is to provide the fastest speeds possible for the professional racers.

Usually the staff will prepare the run after the race has completed for normal use, but if you get to the run early after it's just been opened you will get a very fast slightly injected World Cup downhill run.

The run itself is truly amazing and hard to match anywhere on the continent.
