Description

Lower Sunrise is a relatively short enjoyable blue which follows on from its double blue big brother, Sunrise.

At a more gentle pitch, but holding a wider area, Lower Sunrise is a great place for beginners to step up onto slightly more difficult terrain before taking on the next step, such as Retreat.

As this is often the case, if one is confident with skiing blues, I would avoid choosing this run specifically as there can be a fair few beginners advancing their skills on it, which will hinder an attempt to have a quick blast down to Red Pine.

Nevertheless this area is generally not congested and if you are going up the Sunrise Lift and want to head over to Red Pine, take this run or the unnamed trail which heads under the lift.
