Description

The South face of Blaze Mountain is about 1500 feet vertical with a pitch in the high 30 degrees.

It is essentially a long gully flanked by trees.

Getting here is a pretty long tour, and it doesn't see much traffic.

Access via the Spanish creek trailhead is not advised in the winter due to the very long approach.

Even once the road melts out, it is still about an 8 mile walk.

Walk about 6.5 miles from the trailhead and turn left on the Mirror lake trail towards Bear Basin.

The line will be on your right as you get above Mirror lake.

Coming from Beehive in the winter months, it is about 4.5 miles of up-downs to get to the top of the line.

Descend your approach route.
