Description

One of the most classic and diverse off-piste runs on Aspen Mountain, this east facing area has everything an expert skier would enjoy.

Accessed off the blue run Copper from the top of Aspen Mountain, a short section of moguls flattens out and leads you to the right or left of a small group of trees.

As you reach the horizon, views of Independence Pass come into your vision.

This is a wide run, generally with a bit of tree skiing on the skier's left side, with moguls- a gully of moguls down the middle, with the favourite local's choice, which is to ski the skiers right.

The skier's right starts steep, with well-spaced moguls and some different rock features which, depending on snow levels, are buried or are obstacles to be avoided- or aired.

Continuing down there are more moguls and ripable steeps with generally nice chalky snow conditions if it hasn't snowed in a while.

A big natural wind lip on the bottom skier's right is often a choice place to learn your first backflip as you try to carry as much steep as you can to get back up the cat track and back towards Gent's Ridge, the Couch Quad chairlift or you can head toward the lower mountain.
