Ted Ligety is one of the greatest skiers the sport has ever known, in 2013 he became the first man in 45 years to earn three gold medals in a single World Championships, so it's fitting that he has one hell of a run at his home resort, Park City.
Ligety Split is a long black diamond, which can be found groomed or mogulled.
With this long descent through the aspens and pines, especially when groomed, you will probably think that you're going to be speeding down as fast as the man it's named after, well, keep dreaming and maybe the time will come.
With an undulating steep pitch, this run will leave your thighs with a satisfying burn, and could inspire you to try your hand at ski racing.
Due to its low altitude this run can be fairly early to shut, but in deep winter after a sprinkling of fresh snow on corduroy, there is nothing else to do but enjoy it.
