Description

Of all the memorials this is the longest, steepest and "cleanest".

It's almost two thousand feet of tight rock lined chute skiing tucked in the backside of Mount Olympus.

Park at the Neffs Canyon trailhead in Mount Olympus Cove.

From here follow the road up into Neffs Canyon.

At the first junction head to the right up into N Fork of Neff's.

This trail is narrow and winds through the tight trees as it heads to the S.

The area is very brushy and can be a rough go in low snow years, or when conditions are thin, but persevere and you'll find yourself at the base of the Memorial Couloirs for some excellent steep and tight chute skiing. The chute is in the forty degree range for the whole run, and the slope angles just a little bit to the skiers left, it's not a direct fall line chute, but pretty close.

Once you hit the end of the chute you can continue out the gully exit and into the much flatter brush.

Find your way back to the trail and follow it back down and out of Neffs Canyon.
