Fantastic and easy hike/via ferrata.

Start in le Jorat in the Diablerets valley and hike from the lovely refuge de Pierredar.

From there go the to the start of the via ferrata (approx.

30 minutes).

Than the via ferrata itself.

It's niveau PD in Switserland which is the 2nd easiest level.

We are fairly novice although we climbed indoors, and this was nice and challenging, but never dangerous or really tricky.

After the via ferrate a short hike to the Glacier and the cablecar.

We started in le Jorat at 7.45 and arrived at the cablecar at 2.15PM with regular breaks on the way up.

After the descend by cable car the Diablobus takes you back to le Jorat/Creux de Champ were we left our car. See also this link.

We brought gloves ourselves.

Primarily to protect the hands from the sharp rocks and via ferrata cable.

If the weather is good and warm, garden gloves work fine.
