Description

The Canale Grande runs parallel to the Canale dell'Aquila on the right side and is very popular.

It is wider than the Aquila but has the same steepness.

From the top station of Punta Indren follow the marked itinerary until the flat section approximately 200m before the Canale dell'Aquila where you will keep to the right side near the rocky face and enter into the Canale Grande.

Follow the gully until you reach the flat area in front the Oreste Hutte.

Then, from the little dam, follow the sticks on the left and continue straight ahead.

As the valley becomes narrow keep to the left side for a long traverse until you reach the piste, just before the middle station at Gabiet.
