Description

Sundown Bowl is epic.

It is a HUGE playground with nice long fall lines, and aspects facing all directions but north.

This creates the only problem: the wind and sun hammer it.

This run takes you through dense, old-growth trees that generally have very well-protected snow in all conditions.

This area is large, and anywhere in the trees is pretty good.

There are sections with large open areas, which tend to have more tracks, and other areas with dense trees and lots of deadfall that makes it hard to link turns.

There is a major cliff along the end of the first batch of trees.

You can get around it on either side, but if you ski right up to the edge, it's hard to get around.

If it recently snowed, do NOT attempt to go over it, even if it looks covered.

Once around the cliff, traverse a short flat section, then another short shot of trees will take you to the open bowl between Wow and Windows.
