Description

White Baldy is one of the sentinel peaks along the Little Cottonwood Canyon ridge line.

There are few great ski lines off this massive peak, but there is a large angling ramp off the E/NE side that offers some very exposed and airy skiing.

The ramp itself isn't all that long in length, but what it lacks in length it makes up for in location.

Make sure to check avalanche conditions before skiing this line, because going for a ride without could be a bad thing.

To approach this line park at the White Pine trailhead on the south side of the road in Little Cottonwood Canyon, just below Snowbird ski area.

From here follow the trail/road up into the White Pine basin.

The road will disappear, from here you'll trend right into the valley and continue straight up the canyon.

Continue right, and up through the gully.

Once you're in the upper basin just head towards the base and hike up the ramp, then ski back down.

You might want to link up with Lake Peak Chute since you're in the area!
