Description

Often closed later in the season due to avalanches, Piste 10 is exposed all the way along the road coming back into resort.

The route from the lift is a spectacular path curving around the side of the mountain.

Once you drop in there is no turning back and no escape via alternative lifts, so be prepared for a steep and potentially icy mogul field if skiing towards the end of the day.

After the initial drop in, the run smooths out into a long and gently undulating piste with lots of variation in speed and width, adding extra challenges for the intermediate skier.

The final descent needs to be taken as rapidly as possible in order to gain enough speed for the final long flat road back to resort.

A scary start, but worthwhile run for upper intermediate skiers and above.
