Description

Pro tip: for your day in the Evolution Bike Park, park your car in the free parking lot in the town of Crested Butte.

Catch the free shuttle bus up to the park, and ride lifts all day.

Then, when you’ve had your fill of downhill shredding, catch this trail and rip classic, rocky singletrack with stunning views back down to town. This 1,500-foot descent is an absolute gem! The singletrack up top is rocky and challenging, with a few rock gardens that will have you thinking you're still in the bike park.

In the middle, the views open up, providing stunning vistas of Mount Crested Butte, the Town of Crested Butte, Whetstone Mountain, Gothic, and more.

During the peak of the wildflower season, beautiful colors will surround you as you whip through the open alpine meadows. Riding Upper Westside to Town follows a somewhat long list of trails, but with this map, it will appear much more logical as you’re pedaling.

To complete this ride, you need to pick up Upper Westside at the top of the chairlift.

Then, follow that trail to Westside, to Happy Hour, turn left on Upper Loop, and then right on Tony’s to finish your descent to the valley floor.

At the bottom of Tony’s, return to town on the gravel road. After enjoying the delightful tech-gnar, swoopy flow sections, and stunning views all around you, you may find yourself wondering, “what’s the point of pedaling up Schofield Pass for the 401 again?!"
