Description

This off-piste line follows a wide, open face.

There are no trees on the entire face but orientating yourself is quite easy.

Just look out for some cliffs and don't jump them without checking the landing first.

The run is not too steep for the most part which is why it gets tracked quite quickly - it's a perfect powder run for skiers of almost all abilities.

There is no hike required and the Langeggbahn that brings you up is a quick lift, so it is possible to do lots of laps.

However, it can get busy because it's the connection chair between Gaislachkogel and Giggijoch.

Also, remember to be aware of the snow conditions as this slope is exposed to the sun, especially in the spring. To access this run, exit left off the Langeggbahn lift.

Here you'll need to decide whether to follow piste number 18 to reach your line on the right or to ski down off-piste and then just cross piste number 18 to reach it.

For the latter, follow the wooden fence on your left and then leave the piste.

From there, follow the couloir (not too steep) down to the piste and cross it to access the line.

Enjoy the powder but watch out for rocks.

To orientate yourself, use the bottom station of Stabele and the Mautstation (toll booth) of the glacier road.

Keep generally to the left; the exit of the line is near the bottom station of this chair, in the Rettenbachtal valley.

Bear in mind that there's a small river and a road coming from the glacier and it's not possible to cross them everywhere; rejoin the piste at a hut, in front of which there are two bridges and ski down to Langeggbahn lift.
