If you want to bypass the steeper section you can take Lower Hal's Hollow.
There are a few really fun tree trails between Hal's Hallow and Scooper.
On Thursday morning there are ski school races on the lower steeper section of Scooper and so it's closed to the public.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays there is a poma lift that takes you from Lizard Lodge to the top of the steeper section of Scooper.
