Cornice Bowl is the Holy Grail of Mammoth’s Front Face.

Despite being groomed daily, it’s steep, highly trafficked and tends to get icy and moguled by days end.

Yet no better top to bottom lap exists than dropping in from the summit Panorama Gondola, charging into Cornice Bowl to Broadway to rinse and repeat.

Like the name suggests the lip tends to develop a cornice, which sometimes requires an almost vertical drop, which can hangup novices and hesitant crowds are common at Cornice’s entry point.

On a pow day it offers the best turns and most bang for your buck on Mammoth’s Front Face.
