Description

Heading south and keeping skiers right of the Blue Lake chutes, this run stays right on the open south face of Twynam, granting wide open runs with some really nice turns when conditions are right.

This area can be scoured by the prevailing westerly wind, and there is a slightly flat area above Glissade Gully.

This run is commonly used to assess the cornices which can develop in the chutes of Blue Lake, and I cannot stress the importance of this, as large cornices form in each of them.

If you didn't head up Twynam from the Blue Lake direction I advise you to really consider using this run to scope conditions.

Head skiers right down past Glissade Gully, and continue on down to the lake.

To return up to Twynam, the same route can be skinned and is the best way to get back up from this side.
