Description

An old chairlift used to run from Thredbo to Charlottes Pass, the mid station of the lift is located at the top of the Northern Twin valley.

Hence, to head home to Charlottes from the Twin Valleys, you can head up to the mid-station ruins and ski north through the Wrights Creek Valley following the old lift pylons, then over the flanks of Mt Stilwell to Charlotte's Pass village.

Otherwise from either of the Twins, head to the top of the range (you will most likely see the old lift station, but in case you miss it, you'll be able to see a shallow valley out to the north) and follow this, as it is Wrights Creek Valley.

At the northern end head up and over the knoll at the end, which is Mt Stilwell, and you will be able to see the village below you.

This stretch should take you about 4 hours from the Twins.
