Description

Among all the chutes beyond Paradise, Three Falls is the most gnarly.

Three Falls (also called Three Cliffs) is a wide chute with 3 large airs.

From where you left Paradise, traverse across the ridge, ignoring the smaller chutes known as Octopuses Garden.

Eventually you will arrive at a much larger chute.

Drop in here, shortly after you will arrive at a fairly large air, it is possible to get around this one and re-enter the chute.

Continue down until the next air, this one is mandatory, around 6-10 feet.

Drop this air and check your speed as soon as possible.

The area below is wider but abruptly funnels back into its normal width.

Start looking for exits from the chute to the left, unless you are looking for a HUGE air.

This is only realistic on powder days, best to avoid this one.

Ski the trees down to Fox and return to the lifts.

Despite its close proximity to the pistes, this should be treated as a serious backcountry line.

Don’t ever go alone, all it takes is a slip and you could hit a tree or tumble off a cliff.

Make sure someone knows where your group is in case of an injury.

Bring a cell phone with you, although there is a chance your signal will be bad it’s worth having.
