Description

A 17,5km loop with almost 2000m of climbing to one of the most beautiful mountain in the Stubaital area.

The route requires good uphill fitness but rewards you with a magnificent view from the top of the peak.

You can park your car at Fulpmes Jagerhäusl parkplatz (5 euro for parking) or you can simply take a bus there.

The route starts with a rolling terrain but after 3.5 kilometers it joins a very steep tiny trail.

In only 4 kilometers you gain almost 1500 vertical meters.

Passing Wildeben hut you enter a mountain and rocky terrain that goes to Serlesjöchl (2384 m).

There you turn left climb a small teo meter ladder and scramble the final pyramid to the summit.

The climb does not require any climbing skills but is slightly exposed.

After reaching the summit you run back to the saddle and join a downhill section that leads through a narrow mountain track to Maria Waldrast monastery followed by wide dirt road back to the parking place where you started.

On the loop you can find two places to refill your bottles, the first is at kilometer 3 and the last is at Maria Waldrast (kilometer 12).
