Description

Judd Falls is one of the easiest hikes in Crested Butte, but despite the short distance and mellow grade, it offers up some of the best views in the region! On this short hike, you’ll enjoy "amazing views of the surrounding mountains including Gothic Mountain, Mt.

Baldy, and Mt.

Crested Butte,” according to [The Outbound](https://www.theoutbound.com/colorado/hiking/hike-to-judd-falls).

During the summer, the wildflowers all up and down the Gothic valley are just stunning… and the hike to Judd Falls is no exception.

Finally, you’ll conclude your hike with a beautiful overlook of Judd Falls itself.

Be sure to pack your camera—you’ll come home with tons of fodder for the ‘Gram! The hike begins by following the 4x4 road uphill from Schofield Pass Road.

Look out for the signed Judd Falls trail in a corner, on the right. The trail is mellow and easy to follow the entire way to Judd Falls.

There’s a little bit of elevation gain along the way, but by Crested Butte standards that, too, is very mild. After you've enjoyed your time at the waterfall, turn around and return the way you came.
