Moving from the Abbazia di Vallombrosa, you start climbing on the trail, in a wonderful conifer (at first) and beech (after a while) wood. The track is steep until you reach the ridge.
From there you can see the two valleys below and walk to the 3 Wind mills.
Now the trail starts descending in the Foresta di Sant'Antonio until, at the end of the Educational Path you can rest at a small lodge. The path here get narrower until it turns in a gravel road that brings you back to the Abbazia, with a small detour to see the "Faggio Santo" (the Sacred Beech Tree), whose first plant is supposedly between 900-1200 years-old, while the actual one is around 150 year old.
