Description

Silver Run Falls is a short waterfall hike just minutes from High Hampton Resort and great for anyone visiting Cashiers.

Below the falls, there is a massive swimming hole that can become quite crowded in the summer.

There are no facilities, simply a small roadside pull-off on Highway 107 with enough parking for 15 cars.

Overflow parking is available just downhill on 107. Silver Run Fall is less than 1/4-mile round trip, which makes it great as a roadside pitstop, or as a mid-summer swimming hole for locals.

The pathway is wide and maintained, and gravel - so you shouldn't have to get muddy along the way. As you approach the waterfall, you have two options.

You can enjoy the view from the side of the creek, or cross it and gain a front-and-center view from the side of the shallow pool.

If you're not up for getting your feet wet, this hike may not be for you - a trip to [Whitewater Falls](https://fatmap.com/routeid/2672904/whitewater-falls) may be a better option.
