Description

Ascent: Front de neige du Bettex - Take the cross-country ski trail on the left towards the Communailles and pass in front of the ESF snow garden.

The itinerary quickly leaves the groomed track to go up to the right in the forest of Crêt Mortet until you find yourself below the green track of Chateluy by which you will go down.

If you pass by the Arbois chairlift departure station, you are on the right track! Carefully follow the slope on its side left to then enter the forest, and, very quickly reach a gap that leads to the magnificent Alpage de Sous les Freddys and its typical chalet. Descent: Be careful, it is necessary to take again the good track on the descent, otherwise you will have to go up again.

From the chalet of Sous les Freddys, turn right looking at the top of the gondola 100 meters above you.

Cross flat the black Michel Dujon piste (do not descend it) to join a few meters further the green piste of the Chateluy.

Return to the snow front of Le Bettex where several establishments are waiting for you for a well deserved drink.
