This trail is one of the most popular for hikers in Víknaslóðir hiking area, leading from Borgarfjörður eystri to the hiking hut in Breiðavík inlet.

The trail leads you to the wonderful bay of Brúnavík.

Hiking through the magnificent landscapes of mountains and small bays of the East is an unforgettable experience.

The unique Víknaslóðir mountains come in all shapes and sizes and they come in a variety of impressionistic colors; everything from the black sands of the beaches to the pinkish orange hues of the mountain ridges.

The hiking hut in Breiðuvík is open only in June, July, August and the first days of September.
