A relatively short and easy hike to an impressive waterfall with a great swimming pool at the base. Park on the southern side of the bridge, 12km drive from the Maubisse Pass (Russulau).
Follow the trail from the carpark, initially on switchbacks above the river, through a plantation and farmland.
$5 entry to walk through a locals yard half way up (there is a sign and a bamboo fence across the trail, and the farmer from the nearby house will likely come and meet you there). There are some steep sections in the middle but they have built handrails for most of it. Great in the dry season.
Water turns brown in wet season after rain.
Watch out for flash flooding if there is rain as the top of the section requires walking along the river through an easy canyon.
