Description

In winter the dirt road the Redfish Lake closes to cars, and becomes a multi-use snow trail.

It's heavily used by hikers, skiers, and snowmobiles, so the snow is usually firm enough to walk on.

In fresh snow you may want snowshoes or skis. Nearing the lake, you'll pass the Redfish Trailhead, where trails like Fishhook Creek branch off.

You'll then go past the shut-up Redfish Lake Lodge before reaching the shore and the dock.

Continue onto the dock for a spectacular view over the likely frozen lake.
