Description

Ski touring route that takes you to the Ohridian mountain diamond.

Once standing on the top of the snowcapped peak Magaro 2254m asl, you can see the two Macedonian lake pearls in the same time, Ohrid and Prespa lake. Once you take the road up to the mountain passage of Galicica, follow the road as furthest you can reach.

At one point the road will be fully covered with snow, so skinning starts at that point.

Depending on the season snowfall, the start point may vary. The best option for skinning to the top is on the north slope.

The same slope is the most epic if you ski down on power with the sunset in the background.

This beauty is truly a dreamlike feeling.

If the conditions are not favorable in the North slope, a good alternative is the bowl on the east as following the route
