Description

Escape Hatch gets it's name for being the easiest way up and down the ravine.

While it's not the type of terrain most skiers visit this zone for, it makes a good Plan B if other options don't pan out, a good last run when other lines are too sunbaked, or a good run for a less aggressive skier looking to beat the crowds.

A very short bushwhack gains you access to the line.

From here it's a straightforward snow climb to the top.

Ski down the moderately steep snow ramp, navigating short sections of bushes on the way.

Exit the line then cut hard skiers left to get back out to the clearing.

Be aware that while this is less aggressive terrain, avalanches do still happen here and a slide would be high consequence with dense trees below.
