FATMAP difficulty grade
Steep and open, Root Chute 1 is a blast.
Starting off with a 50º roll over into a y-fork in which you can take either Root Chute 1 or Root Chute 2.
Root Chute 1 is a little easier because it is slightly less steep and more open.
I highly recommend doing this chute on a snowy, but safe day, because it tends to have many uncovered rocks in the middle of the trail.
Skin up the same route as you would take to get to Hawaii Couloirs and Pacific Couloir.
