Description

Very steep chute in between the rocks off Sound of Music's south face.

You enter it by dropping into the Sound face and traversing to the far right.

You can access the Sound of Music in 2 ways.

One is the steeper but shorter Homerun hike from the Sun Peak chair, and the other is the longer, flatter hike to Roscoe's off the Saddleback chair.

Igloo Chute and the Sound both have high avalanche danger and are not commonly patrolled like in resort terrain.

Make sure to have your gear and a partner before skiing the Sound.

I also suggest checking out with patrol before skiing to make sure they write your name down and to make sure you are in the clear.
