Description

Low angle skiing on Mount Washington is rare, since the glacier cirques are often steep and any low angle snowfields are scoured down to rock.

However, Robinson’s Neighborhood offers the ability to keep it low angle and ski above treeline.

This makes it a great plan b on days when other lines are unsafe.

Start from the Lake Of The Clouds hut and proceeded to the col of Mount Monroe.

Ski down through 25 degree snowfields with enough little trees to weave around to keep things interesting.

Ski until you hit dense vegetation on the edge of a secondary headwall, then skin back up the way you came.

This is also the standard exit route for many lines in the area.
