Description

Discover some of the most iconic and fascinating places in the Dolomites along the route of the Delicious Trail Dolomiti: a 44.2 km trail in the heart of the Dolomites, with an elevation gain of 3,240 m.

The trail running race takes place yearly in September and is part of the event Delicious Festival Dolomiti: a sporting, cultural and culinary event that aims at valuing Cortina’s historical, natural, alpine and gastronomic heritage. The route starts from the center of Cortina, crosses the picturesque village of Mortisa and it will then lead you to Pocol.

From here, the route will take you to the enchanting Federa lake at the foot of Croda da Lago, where you will find the first refreshment point: the mountain hut Palmieri.

From here the path descends through the forest offering stunning views of the Cinque Torri and Tofane, and then it goes up to the Cinque Torri where you will find several mountain huts: Rifugio Cinque Torri, Scoiattoli, Nuvolau and Averau. You will then go around Mount Averau, coming out in the area of Col Gallina and along the alpine lake Lìmedes, Rifugio Col Gallina and finally climb along the Lagazuoi War Tunnels to the mountain hut Rifugio Lagauzoi, the highest point of the itinerary.

From here, there is a long downhill part: you will cross the area of Col dei Bos and once reached the majestic Tofana di Rozes you will descend again along the path “Sotecordes” to the Rifugio Dibona.

From here, you will run down again to Baita Resch and the Hotel Argentina, point of arrival. The maximum height of the itinerary is 2,731 m, the longest ascent is 970 m while the longest descent is 1,390 m.
