Description

From Ott Car Park, cross the road and follow the path up to the col that overlooks Lough Shanna. Carry on, trending to the right, and eventually catch the ridge track to the summit.

There is the potential to have a little scramble on the rocky outcrop for a bit of fun.

Otherwise, pick the path around. To dip your toes into the lough, head down the same way, and trend left towards Lough Shanna.

There isn't much of a path here and it's fairly steep, which is the reason the hike is graded at Difficult. Reach the water, get refreshed, and head back for the col.

You can pick up some trails to make life easier on the way, but no fear if you don't catch the path until the col. Follow the same path down to the car park.
