Description

29km/995m Ascent/ 1165m Descent The route begins with a 2km flat run out from Bear Paw Camp to the junction at Tyaughton Creek.

Cross the creek and immediately begin the long climb on an excellent trail up to Deer Pass (taking pictures here is a must) before a long descent back down to the junction of Warner Pass and Mid Gun Creek Trail (at approximately 10km).

Bare left at the junction taking the Mid Gun Creek Trail and work your way around the rolling single track trail of Trigger and Hummingbird Lake for 6km.

Ample opportunities for water exist on this route as there are many creek crossings.

Keep your eyes open for a left hand turn onto the Lower Grasslands Trail.

After 1.5km on this trail, stay left again and take the Upper Grasslands Trail.

Spruce Lake will eventually come into view on your right.

Continue on North until you reach the tip of the lake.

Follow the signs into Spruce Lake Camp.
