Description

Some of my favorite times to climb 14ers are in Spring bootpacking straight up a Couloir.

This route fits the bill perfectly! Skip the crowds and enjoy the snow on a direct route up Castle Peak - and enjoy glorious views of the Elk mountain range from the summit.

Crampons and ice axe are mandatory for this route, as well as knowledge of snow conditions and avalanches.

Know before you go! In addition, this would be a very fun ski / splitboard descent.
