Description

The sign at the trailhead calls this loop “A valley favorite.” Fox Creek is loved by hikers, mountain bikers, and even some horseback riders.

It’s just as good as a run, but you might want to arrive early to avoid traffic on the trails.

Adjacent trails and other trailheads allow for plenty of longer variations as well. The area presents a nice variety of flats, climbing, and swooping downhill––mostly on packed singletrack and all among the stellar scenery of Sun Valley.

You’ll gaze over the river and glimpse peaks on the horizon, in a patchwork of forest and meadows on the valley slopes.

There’s shade here and there, but you can expect much of this run to be exposed to the sun.

It’s especially beautiful––and especially popular––in fall when the trees light up, and when daytime temps are perfect for running. Source: https://summertrailink.bcrd.org/foxcreektrail149.php
