Beautiful and moderately difficult hike to spectacular Albert 1er Hut without using the lift.

Starting in the village of Le Tour, crossing alpine forest we quickly find ourselves on a barren ridge of glacier moraine.

Spectacular journey on its own or as part of approach for alpine ascents higher up. You might need crampons and an axe in spring/beginning of summer.
