Description

From the top of the Barbossine chairlift follow the red slope "Col de Croix".

A really easy way to access to this line (instead of going down the same slope) is to continue straight into the arête, then down it to the col.

The walk will take around 30 minutes and there is no distinct start of the line but staying close to the trees makes the line a little be safer.

The entrance is steep and there is avalanche risk there.

The line faces south-west so exposure to the sun increases the avalanche danger.

The area is sometimes preemptively bombed by ski patrol to prevent any huge avalanches but still keep an eye into the forecast, as big snowfall will make this area really unstable.

There can also a poor base layer in a bad season.

Once you're lower into the face the angle kicks back, from the second trees section onwards.

The red slope "L’Epervier" is where the line ends, giving you access back to the Barbossine chairlift or the Petit chatel chairlift.
