Description

Mellow trails with a variety of track surface, and a healthy dose of nature make this an excellent introductory ride near downtown Boise.

The route climbs a few small hills and rolls along the bottom of the gulch, passing through grassland, woods and near some ponds.

It starts from the trailhead at the dead end of 9th Street near Camel's Back Park, but you could begin from one of the other trailheads on 8th Street Extension instead.

All these trails are popular with walkers and joggers as well, and there are some pedestrian-only paths that branch off the loop, so remember to courteously share the trails and stay on the right track.
