Description

Green Chili is Taos Ski Valley's first modern foray into downhill mountain biking.

This beginner-level flow trail was built by the renowned Gravity Logic trail builders out of Whister, BC, "with the help of the Taos Ski Valley Bike Park Crew," according to [SkiTaos.com](https://www.skitaos.com/taos-bike-park). This flow trail offers beginner-friendly berms, rollers, and swoop and flow that rolls down the mountain for 3.5 miles.

The trail runs the top of Lift 4 to the bottom of Kachina Basin and was designed so that everyone can enjoy it.

Even if you aren't an avid mountain biker, but you do enjoy riding bicycles, you can show up, rent a bike, and have a blast on Green Chili! "At this time, the Taos Bike Park is not a Park.

Yet!" Writes SkiTaos.com.

"You will not find any 20’ table tops on Green Chile.

In fact, you won’t find any table tops, wall rides, or gravity-defying drops.

True to its New Mexico namesake, you will find that Green Chile is exactly what you’ve been looking to add to your life, and provides just the right amount of spice." The resort intends to continue to build more downhill trails, including more difficult lines, with the help of Gravity Logic.

At the time of this writing in 2021, reports indicate that the plans were derailed or postponed due to the pandemic, but hopefully, the trail building will resume soon.
