Description

To get here, take Cornice Express (Chair 6) and upon unloading, start traversing right.

Start on the traverse that leads to the groomer Sentinel but then continue to go further rights.

There will be traverse tracks that go right under Glove Rock: follow them.

You'll have to go far beyond Rabbit Runs, Lightning, KGF, and Jeff's Line.

Around Lightning, you'll have to hike a bit upwards to get to the Thunder Mountain Ridge.

Keep following this ridge until you pass Jeff's Line (the furthest marked line of Kirkwood!).

You know you're passing Jeff's line when start traversing upwards and around Martin Point.

Once you start traversing downwards from Martin Point, you know that you're in the beginning section of Reuter Bowl.

But there's so much more beyond this part so keep traversing right for better and better snow.

The bowl actually starts off the steepest and gradually gets more mellow towards the boundary line.

The skiing is generally less technical than KGF and Jeff's line, but it's a lot more glade-focused which could be challenging for some.

Eventually, you'll have to start traversing skiers' right back to the Bunny Chair (Chair 9) and Timber Creek Express (Chair 7).

When things start to flatten out is a good indication of when you should traverse back. In short, it's takes a painfully long traverse/hike to get all the way back here (it might take over an hour!) but the snow here is almost guaranteed to be incredible because it's so far out.

For the average guests, stick with The Palisades and Lightning.

But for powder-hounds and crazy locals, the adventure to get to this isolated area is very rewarding and like nothing else the resort has to offer!
