Description

This isn't an officially marked trail, but the locals know this run as "Hollywood".

It's located right under Sunrise and people can be seen sending it every day.

To get here, continue going down Elevator Shaft and follow a path right of the chairlift-line.

You'll come across some rope and a sign that says "Caution Cliff".

(usually the rope will open up, allowing you to pass under but if the ropes are blocking the line, DO NOT DUCK IT as it's probably closed for a good reason!).

Go through the opening in the rope and choose your line.

Usually, all the good lines will be right of the lift/lift poles, while the easier lines will be left of the chair (you should plan what line you're skiing from the chair itself).

The general rule of thumb is that skiers' left contains the smallest cornice.

As you go further skiers' right, the cornice increases in size and you get closer to the cliff itself.

The drop off the cliff is roughly 10-15 depending on snow pack and it gets larger the further skiers' right you go.

Most should just stick to the cornice but the real daredevils can go for the cliff.

Overall, Hollywood is a great run for the rider who'd rather get a bit of adrenaline than follow a cat-track.

It's definitely for the more advanced rider.

If you can ride the cornice off The Wave, you'll have no issues riding of this one.

The Hollywood Cliff however is a different story...
