Description

Leaving Bakewell you will pass the attractive woodland at the Manners Estate before dropping down to the picturesque village of Edensor.

With its delightful tea room and church, Edensor is part of the Chatsworth estate, owned and operated by the Earl of Devonshire.

And at its heart is of course Chatsworth House, one of the grandest houses in the country. Aside from the Grade 1 listed house and its splendid art collection, there are also some fantastic gardens which have a number of interesting features such as the Emperor Fountain, which dominates the Canal Pond & can reach up to 290 feet.

A shorter day designed to allow you time to enjoy the house and it's grounds at your leisure, it's a grand way to complete your weeks walking in the White Peaks.
