Brand New for 2021! Our brand new 60 km route is a full point to point course.

Runners begin in Whistler’s Cheakamus Canyon and then enjoy running the length of Whistler along the flanks of Rainbow, Sproatt and Cougar Mountains, before dropping back down to the finish line at Meadow Park. Along the way, runners will cross multiple suspension bridges while also cruising past a volcanic crater, unique rock formations, remote backcountry lakes, stunningly beautiful forest, and some pretty technical terrain, if we do say so ourselves.

The high point on this year’s course is 1500 meters (5000ft), but that will still present runners with gorgeous sub-alpine vantage points across the aptly named Green Lake and the entire community of Whistler, with the Whistler – Blackcomb ski slopes potentially even holding some snow across their peaks in late September.

The view from the finish line includes staring up at the nearly 10,000 ft Wedge Mountain (actual 9500ft / 2900m), a nice side project if you find yourself with some unexpected pep in your step in the days following the race. With this event being held on the back half of September we’ve seen it all, and in 2019 runners were trudging through fresh snow on the upper alpine regions, so ensure you come prepared as it’s an adventurous one, but with plenty of reward throughout.
