Description

Breckenridge allows uphill access in the mornings, from 6am to resort opening time.

There are 4 designated routes, which uphillers are required to follow on the way up and back down.

Mapped here is the designated route on Peak 9, which is most convenient to the main part of town, making it a go-to morning workout for many locals.

The track follows the groomed trails Silverthorne > Lower American > Cashier to the Peak 9 Patrol Hut.

It’s a nice long uphill with about 1800 feet of gain, beginning as green runs on the bottom half and moving to blues on the upper.

It begins in Beaver Run Lot, where free parking is allowed 6-8:30am with an uphill permit.

If no spots are available there, you might start from farther away, at F Lot or elsewhere in town.

Before you go, be sure to read Breck’s [uphill access policy](https://www.breckpark.com/uphill-access-permit) and get the free permit online.
