Description

Mammoth Mountain is usually stormed with skiers and snowboarders, and even though the lifts load fast it's impossible to avoid waiting in line––unless you just don't need the lift! If you're prepared to earn your turns, you can escape the bustle on this in-bounds ski tour to the top of the mountain. This is a designated uphill access that's open during operating hours.

It begins at Main Lodge and first contours around to the Outpost on green and blue runs.

It then goes up the steeper blue Santiago, and continues up the wide-open backside of the mountain.

Once at The Summit, you'll have your pick of any glorious descent back to base. Note that skinning and split boarding at Mammoth requires an Uphill Pass or an Ikon Pass.
