Description

Tiger Run is a legendary secret trail at Keystone.

It's actually a mountain biking trail in the summer which makes it a very fun trail to ski in the winter.

However, the entrance is hidden well and it alludes most guests.

To get here, take the River Run Gondola, the Summit Express Chair Lift, or the Montezuma Express Chair Lift to the summit.

Initially start your descent on Schoolmarm and turn skiers' right to a blue called Paymaster which is by itself a very fun blue.

Pretty early on, you'll see a side entrance to the start of the mountain biking trail.

Take it.

You'll dart in and out of the trees two times.

When you re-enter the trees for the second time, commit and go deeper into the trees until you come to a clearing.

This is the true beginning of Tiger Run.

If the snow looks sketchy, either continue on the MTB trail to the blue run Wild Irishman or back out back to Paymaster.

If you do choose to ski the run know that it is not labeled on the official trail map due to its generally sketchy conditions.

The run is often bare and is only really fun on a powder day.

Tiger Run itself is a very narrow trail through the woods.

It is similar in style to Bushwhacker, Badge, and Timberwolf in The Outbacks.

The difference is that this is far more elusive, less steep, and narrower.

The pitch and width of the run are relatively static.

Eventually, you will be spit out into Wild Irishman, concluding your time on this legendary run. If you do manage to find this, you'll know that you're in the right area if you see a message from Ski Patrol.

This run eludes several locals till date and is seldom skied.

If you do manage to take a lap on it, do yourself a favor and keep quiet about it.

Though, I've probably ruined the run just by posting its exact location on this website! Hopefully the locals aren't too mad at me next time I venture out here!
