Description

Twin Lakes Pass divides two valleys with backcountry skiing between Alta and Brighton/Solitude.

Most people get there from the Alta side, but if you're starting from Brighton this is the way you can go.

It utilizes a designated uphill route that's normally open during resort operating hours. When the resort is open you can park at the Brighton Store without a pass, and skin from there.

The route follows Christy's > Easy Out > Evergreen to reach Twin Lakes Dam and exit the resort.

From there on, you'll be in unpatrolled terrain. The route continues more or less straight up the valley at a low angle.

Avalanche hazards can exist from the slope above, however.

Once at Twin Lakes Pass, you have many options on how to proceed.

Turn and ski back down to the dam for a mellow tour, or keep skinning up to Patsy Marley and Wolverine Bowl, where tons of stellar backcountry lines can be found. Note that uphill access at Brighton is subject to certain restrictions.

You can check the daily status and review the policies on the resort's [conditions page](https://brightonresort.com/conditions).
