Description

Any resort tour at Eldora begins with the Frontside route uphill from the parking lot, but if you ski down the backside of the mountain the route shown here will be your climb back out.

It has a bit more vertical than the Frontside route, but both are well over 1000 feet of climbing.

If you want to ski Eldora’s expert terrain on your own power, you’ll be getting in shape on this ascent. The main perk of uphilling at Eldora is that you can ski any of the runs down.

That, along with the resort’s proximity to Denver, makes it a pretty convenient place to earn some in-bounds turns.

However, uphill is allowed only with a specific pass, and even then the uphill hours are restricted to certain days and times.

Check the resort’s [Uphill Access](https://www.eldora.com/plan-your-trip/tickets-passes/lift-tickets-passes/uphill-access-policies) page for more information.
