Description

This is far from the only easy uphill route at Winter Park, but it makes a great intro to skinning at this huge resort.

This route could be your go-to for your first time here, or for testing out new gear.

It goes up the Winter Park village side to the top of Prospector Lift, making a nice mellow tour with a variety of descent options.

From Prospector, you can choose from greens, blues, or even a black for your downhill.

Then you could keep lapping uphill in that zone, or take Turnpike trail back down to the base. Winter Park is pretty generous with their uphill policies and hours, but you do need to purchase an armband and adhere to certain rules.

The money goes to Grand County Search & Rescue plus other nonprofits, though, so you can really feel good about earning your turns and supporting local access! Check out Winter Park’s [uphill policy](https://www.winterparkresort.com/the-mountain/uphill-policy) and get your pass online.
